Biosphere Reserve

The islanders love their island and have preserved its natural and unique essence over the years. In 1993, UNESCO declared Menorca a Biosphere Reserve, and in 2019 it became the largest Marine Biosphere Reserve in the Mediterranean. That same year, the island was recognized as a Starlight Destination and Reserve for its air quality and sky visibility. In 2023, Menorca was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List for its exceptional Talayotic cultural heritage.

Art and Culture

The cultural offerings in Menorca are endless, especially during the summer when the island is bustling with activity and options. The local festivals start in June and continue through September, leaving no day free from excitement.

Theaters, cinemas, art galleries, exhibitions, excursions, guided tours... the options are limitless!

Nightlife is focused around the port, with bars, pubs and clubs such as the "Jazzbah" and the "Moll de Ponent" offering entertainment for all tastes, as well as live music at the "Bar es Cau" and the magical nightclub "Cova d'en Xoroi" in Cala en Porter

Beaches and coves

One of the most appealing reasons for many to visit Menorca, and rightly so. The island boasts about 200 kilometers of coastline, where you can enjoy approximately 120 beaches and coves. There’s something for everyone: white sand, darker sand, rocky areas, pristine beaches, urban beaches...

Gastronomy

It’s a must to try a “Pomada” or “Gin with lemon,” depending on the region you’re in, as it’s known by different names. There are dishes to suit all tastes: from “pelotas” to a lobster stew. Not to mention our cheeses with the Denomination of Origin, Mahón-Menorca cheese.

Camí de Cavalls

The Camí de Cavalls is a historic 185 km trail that circles Menorca, offering spectacular coastal views. Originally used for the island's defense, it is now popular among hikers, cyclists, and riders. The trail passes through pristine beaches, cliffs, fields, forests, and wetlands, with historical remnants such as defense towers and lighthouses. Divided into various stages, it allows for flexible exploration of Menorca, enjoying its natural beauty and cultural heritage.
