History of Ferreries

Ferreries is a municipality located in the center of Menorca, known for its tradition and natural beauty. Its name comes from the forges that once existed in the area, where iron was worked and tools and utensils were made. Ferreries has a rich history dating back to prehistoric times, as evidenced by the archaeological sites in the surroundings, including the Talayotic settlement of Son Mercer de Baix.   • Cala Mitjana and Cala Mitjaneta: Two pristine coves with crystal-clear waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
  • Ets Alocs. Rocky beach in the north of the island
